"Building a bridge between home and school in order to improve
student achievement"

The Parent Center supports parent participation at Grant High School.
We are trying to increase parent involvement at our campus. There are many things that parents can do. Parents can help in the classroom, at the Parent Center, in an office, and on the campus for student supervision during nutrition break and lunch. At the Parent Center parents can also receive training, participate in educational workshops and find valuable community resources.

Our services include:

-References to legal, medical, and social services
-Educational Workshops
-Translation
-Facilitation of parent-teacher conferences
-Cultural Awareness Workshops

All classes and workshops are free.
Parent volunteers are welcome at anytime on the campus.
Please call the Parent Center for more information.

Our Mission:

The Parent Center is helping teachers and parents together to improve student achievement. We are dedicated to providing resources and training to parents, and to providing assistance and support to teachers.

Why should I be involved in my child's education?

Studies have shown that students achieve higher levels of academic success when parents are involved in their children's education. Involvement is crucial during the middle school and high school years when students’ educational performance is most significant in determining their future.

At the Parent Center we can help you learn how to help your child with homework, how to create a positive learning environment at home, how to find the resources that your family needs, and how to improve your skills as a parent.
